Claude chatbot: plans, prices and how to use it on WhatsApp

Claude is the AI chatbot made by Anthropic. It has a free plan; Pro costs $20 a month ($17 a month billed yearly) and Max starts at $100 a month, according to claude.com on 5 October 2026.

It runs on the web, desktop, iOS and Android. Claude does not answer your business WhatsApp by itself, but it can build the AI agent that does, through the CertuAI connector.

Where Claude runs

On the web at claude.ai, on macOS, Windows and Linux (beta), and in the iOS and Android apps (Anthropic's download page). Anthropic introduced Claude on 14 March 2023.

Claude API price

Developers pay per token instead of a monthly plan. On the API tab of claude.com/pricing on 5 October 2026: Claude Opus 5.5 at $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens, Claude Sonnet 5.5 at $2 and $10, and Claude Fable 5.1 at $10 and $50.

Can Claude answer my business WhatsApp?

Not on its own. Anthropic's help center describes the iOS app drafting and sending a message through your WhatsApp; there is no official Claude that answers your customers on your number.

Since 15 January 2026, Meta's terms for the WhatsApp Business Platform prohibit general-purpose AI assistants from using it when the AI itself is the product. AI that serves a business's own customers, answering about its own services, prices and bookings, is allowed. In practice: you will not get the public chatbot to answer your business number, but you can have an AI agent that knows your business answer it.
