Can you have two WhatsApp accounts on the same phone?

To register the second account you need another phone number. Each account has its own photo, its own About message and its own notification and privacy settings.
How to add the second account, step by step
The steps come from the Help Center, for the Android version. The icons change a little on iPhone.
- Open the WhatsApp menu and tap Settings.
- Next to your name, open the list of accounts and tap Add account.
- Tap Agree and continue.
- Choose the country and type the second number, in international format.
- Tap Continue to receive the code. If you prefer SMS or a call, tap Verify number using another method.
- Enter the six-digit code.
- Type your name and, if you want, add a photo and an About message.
To switch accounts later, open the menu and tap Switch account.
What happens to the account that is not in use?
It keeps notifying you. The account in use is the active one and the other stays inactive, but WhatsApp shows message and call notifications from both. To read the message or answer the call, you switch to the matching account.

What are the limits of the feature?

- Only on the primary phone. The second account can only be created on the primary phone.
