What is the best WhatsApp chatbot for solar energy companies in Brazil?
The best WhatsApp chatbot for solar energy companies in Brazil is the one that answers on the number the company already uses, with business rules written by you. An AI agent on WhatsApp for a solar energy company is CertuAI's automatic assistant. It answers the lead from the ad within seconds, asks for the electric bill amount, records the roof type and city, books the technical visit, and, with the follow-up rule you create, keeps following up on the proposal for weeks, without depending on the salesperson's memory.

What is the best WhatsApp chatbot for a solar energy company in Brazil?
The best one reads the electric bill right away, doesn't promise savings your company doesn't control, lets you confirm the technical visit, and stays quiet when you've already called the customer; CertuAI does all four, from US$ 75 per month on the Start plan. The comparison with EnergiaBot, SolarZ, Solar Simples CRM, and others, with price, source, and date, is in the top 5 WhatsApp chatbots for solar energy, and how to handle customers, from the first "hi" to the visit, is in how to serve solar energy customers on WhatsApp.
Does the AI read the electric bill the customer sends on WhatsApp?
It reads: the photo and the file are turned into text the AI uses in the conversation, and the bill is kept on the customer's card in the CRM; it doesn't calculate the system, it answers with what you registered.
What it doesn't do: it doesn't store consumption as a number on the card, it doesn't compare the bill against a minimum amount on its own, and it doesn't design the system. You decide what it answers. If you only serve bills above a certain amount, or only certain cities, write that in the Brain, and the AI talks from what it read on the bill.
- Photo. An image reader describes the photo and copies the useful text that appears in it. That text enters the conversation as if the customer had written it, and the AI answers from it. If the photo arrives unreadable, it asks the customer to type it out instead of staying silent.
- File. When the bill arrives as a file, the way it comes by email, the AI reads the document and pulls out what matters: amounts, dates, and names. A Word file or spreadsheet is kept for your team to open, but the AI doesn't read it.
- On the card. The photo and the file are added to the customer's card as an attachment, and the file name becomes a note. Whoever opens the deal in the pipeline sees the bill without hunting through the WhatsApp history.
- Audio. If the customer explains the roof by voice message, the AI listens, turns it into text, and answers about what was said.
Does the AI book the technical visit on its own?
Only if you turn it on: as it comes, when the customer asks for a day and time, it says it will confirm, and the request shows up for you to approve.
With direct booking off, which is the default for every new account, the visit starts out pending and only becomes a commitment when you confirm it. If you turn direct booking on, the AI confirms the time in the conversation itself. In both cases it notes the exact date and time, what was agreed, and the visit address, when the customer provides it.
It doesn't offer a time that's already taken: the busy times go into the conversation, with the instruction not to offer or confirm any of them. If you connect Google Calendar, CertuAI reads only when you are busy, never what is written in the event.
The reminder goes out only for a confirmed visit. The default is 24 hours and 1 hour before, and you can change it to up to 3 times, from 15 minutes to 7 days before. There is also the day-before reminder, at a fixed hour the evening before (8 p.m., if you don't change it), which comes turned off. Why the two-hours-before notice works better in solar energy is in the customer service guide for solar energy.
The customer said "I'll think about it." When does the AI follow up?
By default, it doesn't: when the customer's last message is "I'll think about it," "I'll let you know," or "I'll talk to", the automatic follow-up stays quiet, because nudging contradicts what they agreed to; to follow up after 72 hours, you create a stage rule in the pipeline.
The automatic follow-up is for people who simply went silent. It comes turned on in every new account: one message 24 hours after the silence and another 24 hours after that. You change the wait, from 1 hour to 30 days, and the number of attempts, from none to 10. On Meta's official WhatsApp, the first one goes out within 20 hours, to fit the window in which the company can write freely. It only goes out when the last message was from the AI, and it doesn't go out to someone who said goodbye.
For the "I'll think about it," the path is the pipeline. You create a stage rule: when the card enters Proposal sent (the stage names are yours, you can rename them), wait 72 hours and send a message. It can be your own text, or the AI writes it with the goal you gave, such as reminding them of the quote's validity. The wait ranges from zero to 720 hours, and up to 14 rules fit per account, so you can set up three touches on different days in the same stage.
Each stage rule has three choices made for a long pipeline. It can stop if the customer replies after the card entered the stage; note that if the "I'll think about it" came after that, it counts as a reply, so leave this option unchecked in the rule made for it. It can move the card to another stage when the wait ends, which triggers the rules of the next stage. And it can, instead of sending a message, create a task for you to call.
There is also a short follow-up after the price: if the AI gave a price and the customer went quiet, a message written by you goes out after the minutes you choose, from 1 to 1,440. It comes turned off.
And when you call the customer and move the card to another stage in the pipeline, the automatic follow-up goes quiet. From then on, the rule of the stage you chose applies. If the customer writes again, it starts applying again on its own. A card moved by the AI silences nothing: only your own hand counts.
Can a solar energy company's AI agent promise how much the customer will save on the electric bill?
No, and in CertuAI it has nowhere to get that number: the AI only answers with what you wrote, so the guidance is to register a range and a condition, never a guarantee.
Why savings vary: they depend on the household's consumption, the utility's tariff, and the year the system is switched on. Law No. 14.300 of January 6, 2022, the legal framework for self-generated energy, requires charging, on the compensated energy of those outside the transition rule, a growing share of the tariff tied to distribution, which the industry calls Fio B: 60% from 2026, 75% from 2027, and 90% from 2028 (art. 27, read on October 1, 2026). That is why the same electric bill can have different savings in different years, and a fixed number promised on WhatsApp goes out of date on its own.
Every CertuAI account has this rule in the AI's instructions: use only the business's knowledge and, when something isn't there, say it will confirm, instead of making up a price, deadline, stock, or policy. How much a house will save depends on the project, and the AI doesn't do the project. If the Brain doesn't have the number, it doesn't have the number.
The risk is in the text you register. If the Brain says "your bill will drop to zero," the AI will repeat that to every customer. Write it the way the system designer talks: a range ("generally between this and that") and the condition ("depends on the technical visit and the project"). Then say what it does with the question: in the field for when to hand off to a person, write that a request for exact savings goes to the designer. The AI then tells the customer a person will be called, stops replying in that conversation, and you get the alert on WhatsApp and by email. If you registered departments, such as design and finance, the alert goes straight to whoever handles that subject.
Why this matters: Brazil's Consumer Defense Code, in art. 30, says that "all information or advertising, sufficiently precise, conveyed by any form or means of communication regarding products and services offered or presented, binds the supplier who has it conveyed or who makes use of it, and becomes part of the contract that may be entered into." And art. 37, § 1, calls misleading any information "capable of leading the consumer into error as to the nature, characteristics, quality, quantity, properties, origin, price, and any other data about products and services." In plain words: the precise promise your company sends a customer, by any means, binds the company and becomes part of the contract. A WhatsApp message is a means.

The lead came from an ad: does the AI know which ad and what it promised?
It does when Meta sends the headline along with the message: the AI receives the name of the ad the person clicked and answers about that offer, and the customer's card records which ad they came from.
Meta sends this data only in the first message from someone who clicked. CertuAI records it right away, on the pipeline card, with an ad note and its ID number, so you can compare it later with the ads manager. If the person clicks the same ad weeks later, the note isn't repeated. When Meta says the person came from an ad but doesn't say which one, the AI receives that notice too, so it doesn't guess the offer.
In solar energy this matters because it's common to run two ads at the same time, one about the electric bill and another about financing, and each calls for a different reply. Write in the Brain what to answer for each ad, with the same care about savings as in the section above.
For the number that receives ads, use Meta's official connection: it's the path in which Meta delivers the ad along with the message. The official connection comes with Pro, Max, and Max +; on Start, it's an add-on at R$ 50 (Brazilian reais) per month. Without the official connection, you connect by code or QR code. CertuAI is a Tech Provider of Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. See the official WhatsApp connection, explained.
Instagram and Messenger go into the same dashboard, and the AI answers there too, on any paid plan starting with Start.
After installation, does the AI go back to the customer to offer cleaning and maintenance?
Only if you create the rule; without a rule, CertuAI doesn't send anything on its own to the installed base, and what exists out of the box is a task on your list at the deadline you choose.
- Task for you. On the customer's contact, you choose a follow-up: every 7, 15, 30, 60, 90, or 180 days. When the deadline arrives, it becomes a task on your list with the customer's name. Nothing goes to the customer: you make the call.
- Message from the AI. If you prefer the message to go out on its own, create the rule "when the customer doesn't come back": that many days after the last completed job. A card counts as completed when it reaches a won-sale stage, such as Installed. The message can be your own text, or the AI writes it with the goal you gave, such as offering a solar panel cleaning. It goes out once for each completed sale.
- Who receives it. Only people who have already talked to your company on WhatsApp. A customer you brought in from a spreadsheet and never wrote to doesn't get a cold message by accident.
- When it goes out. The rules run every 30 minutes. On the official WhatsApp, after 24 hours without a conversation Meta only lets an approved template message go out: you can point to a template of your own with the cleaning text; without one, CertuAI's standard follow-up goes out.
What does the AI do with each message that reaches the solar energy company?
| Client message | What the AI does |
|---|---|
| Photo or file of the electric bill, without a single word | Reads what is on the bill, keeps the bill on the customer's card, and answers with what you registered |
| "My bill is 600 reais, how much would it come to?" | Answers with the investment range you registered; without a registered range, says it will confirm |
| "How much will I save?" | Doesn't cite a percentage or a zeroed bill that you didn't write; with your rule, hands off to the system designer and you get the alert |
| "Is there financing? In how many installments?" | Answers only the terms you registered; without them, says it will confirm, and with departments registered the alert goes to finance |
| "Can you come Thursday morning?" | Offers a free time slot and says it will confirm; books on its own only if you turned on direct booking |
| Customer disappears after the proposal | Follows up 24 hours later and once more the next day, and stops if the customer replies or says goodbye |
| "I'll think about it, I'll let you know" | Stays quiet in the automatic follow-up; only speaks again if you created a stage rule for it |
| You called the customer and moved the card to another stage | The automatic follow-up goes quiet and the rule of the stage you chose applies |
| "I want to talk to the owner" | Says it will call a person, stops replying in that conversation, and alerts you on WhatsApp and by email |
| One-minute voice message explaining the roof | Listens, turns it into text, and answers about what was said |
| Clicked the ad "Cut your electric bill" | Answers about that ad's offer when Meta sends the headline, and the card records the ad |
| Customer installed 180 days ago | Nothing goes out on its own; with your rule of days after the job, they get the cleaning and maintenance message; without it, it becomes a task for you if you set the follow-up |
What changes at the company with an AI agent?
What changes is who answers first: the message no longer waits for you and gets answered right away. These are four everyday company situations before and after the CertuAI agent.
TodayLead from the ad asks the price and waits for sales to wake up
With CertuAIElectric bill collected, roof type recorded, visit booked
TodayLong pipeline, forgotten follow-up, dead proposal
With CertuAIWith the follow-up rule you create, the proposal stays alive for weeks
TodayThe same objections: payback, financing, maintenance
With CertuAIObjections answered with your arguments, always consistent
TodayInstalled customer never hears from you again
With CertuAIWith the rule you create, the AI offers cleaning and maintenance; without a rule, it becomes a task for you at the deadline you choose
What does a conversation handled by the AI look like?
Is an AI agent or manual customer service better for solar energy companies?
The agent wins at repetitive tasks, and people keep winning at what takes judgment. With manual service, someone at the company has to stop what they're doing; with the CertuAI agent the answer goes out on its own and you join the conversation whenever you want.
| Aspect | The manual way | With the CertuAI agent |
|---|---|---|
| Expensive ad lead arriving in the middle of the night | Waits for sales to wake up, and by morning has already talked to the competitor | Answered in seconds, with the electric bill requested in the same conversation |
| Qualification before sizing | Salesperson chases the bill amount, roof, and city over phone calls | Data collected in the conversation and lead handed to the engineer ready to go |
| Pipeline of months | Follow-up depends on the salesperson's memory and the proposal dies | With the follow-up rule you create, the proposal stays alive for weeks, with nothing forgotten |
| Payback and financing objections | Each salesperson argues differently, with a different number | Your arguments answered consistently, at any hour |
| Installed base | Customer who installed never hears from you again | With the rule you create, the AI offers cleaning and maintenance; without a rule, it becomes a task for you at the deadline you choose |
What does the WhatsApp agent do for solar energy companies?
It does the customer service that is yours today. You teach the business once in the Brain, CertuAI's knowledge base, and the agent answers clients your way, with your rules.
Qualification by electric bill
Bill amount, property type, roof, city: the agent collects them and sends the lead ready for system sizing.
Technical visit booking
Visit arranged in the conversation: by default you confirm the time, and the confirmed visit gets a reminder beforehand.
Answering objections
Financing, payback, what happens on a cloudy day: your arguments, standardized.
Long-pipeline follow-up
A high-value proposal takes polite persistence for weeks. By default the AI follows up 2 times within 24 hours; for weeks, you create the follow-up rule in the pipeline.
Recurring after-sales
With the rule you create, the AI offers cleaning and maintenance to the installed base; without a rule, it becomes a task for you at the deadline you choose.
What questions do clients send on WhatsApp?
They're always the same questions, and the agent answers each one on its own. These everyday company messages no longer depend on you having your phone in hand.
How does the agent start answering customers at the company?
In three steps, on the same day. No installation, no code and no changing the number clients already know.
Teach your business
In one conversation, you explain services, prices, hours and rules, as you would to a new employee.
Connect WhatsApp
Scan a QR code with the number your customers already know. Ready in minutes.
The agent answers
Answers right away, schedules, does follow-up, and records each contact in the built-in CRM. You take over any conversation whenever you want.
How much does an AI agent on WhatsApp cost for solar energy companies?
The Start plan costs US$ 75 per month and already includes the WhatsApp agent, your business's Brain, the CRM, automatic follow-up and the AI assistants, which come with every paid plan. Pro costs US$ 120 per month and adds the landing page, the wallet and 10 people on the team instead of 5. No lock-in contract and no setup fee.

The comparison with other names, with price, source, and date, is in CertuAI's top 5 WhatsApp chatbots for solar energy.
Does the agent size the system?
It collects the data for your engineer to size the system and, if you want, presents investment ranges by bill amount.
My sales cycle lasts months. Does it keep up?
Yes, that's where it pays off most: by default it follows up 2 times within 24 hours and, with the follow-up rule you create in the pipeline, it keeps at it for weeks without depending on the salesperson's memory.
Does it integrate with my CRM?
The agent works with the built-in CRM, where each lead arrives qualified with the conversation history.
Can a solar energy company's AI agent promise how much the customer will save on the electric bill?
No. In CertuAI the AI only answers with what you registered, so it has nowhere to get a savings number from. Register a range and a condition, never a guarantee: under Brazil's Consumer Defense Code (art. 30), the precise information a company sends a customer binds the company and becomes part of the contract. And savings change from customer to customer: they depend on consumption, the utility's tariff, and the year the system is switched on, because Law 14.300 of 2022 charges a growing share of the distribution tariff on compensated energy (60% in 2026, 75% in 2027, and 90% in 2028, in art. 27).
